Following HUAWEI, HONOR has recently announced its intention to enter the “wide screen” smartphone market. According to the latest news, HONOR is preparing two thin-sized mobile phones with wide-screen designs. The screen sizes are expected to be 6.3 inches and 6.4 inches!
Well-known technology blogger Digital Chat Station recently revealed that HONOR is actively exploring the development direction of wide-screen mobile phones, and has two related devices equipped with compact screens in the research and development stage. This means that the brand may add models with different proportions from the existing conventional models in future product lines to provide users with more choices.
In addition to regular-proportion mobile phones, there were earlier rumors that HONOR is developing a “wide-screen” folding mobile phone, which is expected to be officially unveiled as soon as the first half of next year. It is reported that this folding machine is similar to HUAWEI’s recently launched Pura X Max in terms of screen size, appearance design and stylus accessory support.
Although the two are similar in design concept, news indicates that HONOR’s wide-screen foldable phone is expected to surpass the Pura X Max in photography performance and battery life. For users who pursue shooting quality and long-lasting power, this new machine under development does have certain competitiveness. At present, the information about the new 6.3-inch and 6.4-inch wide-screen phones is still in the preliminary stage, and it is reported that the above-mentioned devices have not yet received final mass production approval.
