Google’s new flagship Pixel 11 series will be officially released at 6 a.m. on August 13, Taiwan time. Officials also confirmed that the pre-order event will start in advance at 10 p.m. on August 12.
Pre-orders start before the launch event
When Google previously announced the pre-order time in Taiwan, it was earlier than the press conference, which caused the outside world to question whether it had forgotten the time zone conversion. However, the official YouTube account of Google Taiwan has confirmed that the pre-order will indeed launch at 10 pm on August 12, and the official Taiwan Google Store website has also entered the countdown page. However, it is quite rare to open pre-orders before the launch.

As the launch event approaches, the complete specifications of the Pixel 11 series have also been exposed in advance. Although the new machine is equipped with TSMC’s 2nm process Tensor G6 chip for the first time, and the Pro series also adds a new backlight interactive function, some models have reported shrinkage in memory, camera configuration and battery capacity. Prices of some hardware are reportedly going down but prices are going up
If the specification sheet exposed by foreign media is true, some hardware configurations of the Pixel 11 series may “not increase but decrease.” The most eye-catching one is that Pixel 11 only added three rear cameras for the first time last year, but this year it canceled the telephoto lens and changed it to a dual-lens specification. The outside world believes that this may be to save costs.
For the Pro series, 12GB memory will be the configuration of the entry-level capacity version, and 16GB memory will only be provided for 512GB and above versions. In addition, the battery capacity of Pixel 11 Pro XL is also reported to be slightly reduced compared to the previous generation.
However, the 100x super-resolution zoom featured in the Pixel 10 Pro series is expected to be increased to 120x in the Pixel 11 Pro series. Overall, there are no big surprises in the hardware upgrades of the new Pixel 11 series. Google may still focus on deeply integrated AI applications such as Gemini Intelligence.
