Apple has officially released iOS 27 Public Beta 2 (the second public beta version), allowing ordinary users to be the first to experience the largest system update of the year. This update takes the newly reconstructed Siri AI as the core highlight, while greatly optimizing system smoothness and various built-in functions.

Summary of four key upgrades
Comprehensive evolution of Siri AI: Based on the new generation of Apple Intelligence, Siri can now conduct natural and continuous conversations, search for private information such as personal emails and memos, and understand screen content and perform app operations in real time. The camera also incorporates visual intelligence, which allows you to capture barcodes and convert them directly into wallet tickets.
Improved system performance of older iPhones: Apple has optimized the CPU scheduling mechanism (supported to iPhone 11). App opening speed is increased by up to 30%, AirDrop transfer is accelerated by 80%, photo shooting and storage speed is also increased by 70%, and unlocking and interface sliding are smoother.
The appearance of Liquid Glass is customizable: it continues the Liquid Glass design, adds visual contrast and layering, and provides a new color slider in “Settings > Appearance” to allow users to freely adjust the interface transparency.
Screen time and child safety: Restructured parental control interface, added app category limits and website access authorization, and expanded the scope of “communication security” protection from nudity to violent and bloody images.
Supported models and installation reminders
iOS 27 supports iPhone 11 and subsequent models (including iPhone SE 2nd generation and onwards), but Apple Intelligence-related functions such as Siri AI still require iPhone 15 Pro or subsequent models. Since the beta version may have system vulnerabilities or affect battery life, it is recommended to complete a device backup before proceeding with the upgrade experience.
