According to the latest report from foreign media “Macworld”, it was found in the iOS 27 Beta 4 test version that “The batteries in this iPhone are performing as expected” (The batteries in this iPhone are operating normally), and “The health of the batteries in this iPhone has significantly “degraded” (the battery health of this iPhone has significantly declined) and other code strings. It can be seen that the plural form of “batteries” is used when referring to “battery”, which means that the new iPhone will use a dual-battery design. Considering that dual-battery designs are now mostly used in folding phones, it also verifies the rumors that Apple will launch the first folding phone.
Previously, foreign media “9to5mac” also reported that Apple’s battery supplier submitted two battery certification documents, revealing that the iPhone Ultra will use a dual-battery design similar to many current folding phones, with capacities of 1,921mAh and 2,962mAh, totaling 4,883mAh.
It is understood that the iPhone Ultra will use a 5.5-inch outer screen and a 7.8-inch inner screen design, and emphasizes that the creases are almost invisible. When unfolded, the thinnest body is only 4.5 mm. It uses a titanium body and will be equipped with the A20 Pro chip and 48-megapixel dual-lens main camera system, the new phone is expected to start at US$2,000-2,500 (approximately NT$64,000-80,000), but the actual specifications are still awaiting further information from Apple.
