Since this phone uses the first-generation Privacy Display OLED panel, it was initially widely speculated that this may be a hardware defect. However, SAMSUNG officially issued a statement recently and the senior management personally explained it, clarifying that this is not a hardware failure, but a system problem that can be repaired through software updates!
According to SAMSUNG’s official explanation, when the OLED screen of a mobile phone is exposed to strong ambient light, the color balance may be abnormal, resulting in a reddish color. In response to this situation, SAMSUNG is currently preparing a software update to correct the screen’s color balance settings. Since the relevant software fix has not yet been officially pushed, the official recommendation is that if users are troubled by the red screen problem, they can temporarily go to SAMSUNG’s customer service center for assistance.
