Apple’s first foldable iPhone Ultra battery specifications revealed.
It was previously reported that Apple’s first foldable iPhone (allegedly called iPhone Ultra) will be launched in September this year as scheduled, and the release date is getting closer. Recently, the latest news has been exposed. According to foreign media “9to5mac”, Apple’s battery supplier recently submitted two battery certification documents, revealing that the iPhone Ultra will use a dual-battery design similar to many current folding phones, with capacities of 1,921mAh and 2,962mAh respectively, totaling 4,883mAh.
If the news is true, the iPhone Ultra battery capacity will be higher than the 4,400mAh of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, but slightly lower than the 5,015mAh of the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. In addition, the news also mentioned that the battery capacity of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to be slightly increased compared to the previous generation, with the Pro Max showing a relatively obvious increase. However, it should be noted that battery capacity is not equivalent to actual battery life performance. Factors such as screen, chip power consumption, and software optimization will affect usage time. Since the current information is still an unconfirmed market rumor, the final specifications are still to be announced when Apple officially launches it in September.
According to previous information, the iPhone Ultra will use a 5.5-inch outer screen and a 7.8-inch inner screen design. It emphasizes that the creases are almost invisible. When unfolded, the thinnest body is only 4.5 mm. It uses a titanium body and will be equipped with the A20 Pro chip and 48-megapixel dual-lens main camera system, the new phone is expected to start at US$2,000-2,500 (approximately NT$64,000-80,000), but the actual specifications are still awaiting further information from Apple.
