Apple released the new generation operating system iOS 27 at the latest WWDC conference. In addition to a number of new features, the performance upgrade of the underlying system has become a highlight. According to official information, iOS 27 has comprehensively improved the system response speed, including 30% faster APP startup, 70% faster photo loading, and an 80% increase in AirDrop transfer efficiency. It is worth noting that these performance upgrades also extend to low-power mode for the first time. Apple specifically pointed out in the list of changes that the new system improves the camera’s operating performance in low-power mode. Not only does it speed up the startup speed, but it also reduces power consumption during shooting.
According to past experience, turning on power-saving mode in old systems often results in a sudden drop in screen frame rate and significant delays in operations. Judging from overseas test results, iOS 27 has successfully solved this pain point and greatly improved the overall operational smoothness.
However, the currently released iOS 27 is still in the first developer beta (Beta 1) stage. Some users of older iPhones revealed that they still experience slight lags after turning on the power saving mode. The extent of the improvement in display performance still depends on the age of the device. It is expected that Apple will continue to upgrade and adjust in subsequent test versions to make the low-power mode operating experience more perfect.
