According to current supply chain intelligence, the iPhone Ultra will completely cancel the existing Face ID facial recognition solution, instead re-enable Touch ID technology, and integrate the fingerprint recognition function directly into the physical power button on the side of the fuselage. Market analysts pointed out that this change is mainly limited by the physical space of the fuselage. It is reported that the overall thickness of the iPhone Ultra is designed to be thinner than the iPhone Air, which is mainly designed to be thin and light. In such an extremely thin body, it is technically impossible to insert the complex Face ID module. In order to maintain the ultra-thin body lines, choosing side fingerprint recognition has become an alternative to solve the lack of space.
In addition to the replacement of biometric technology, iPhone Ultra also has significant changes in the visual form of the screen.
