Samsung’s thin foldable Galaxy Z Flip7 mobile phone is currently on sale in Hong Kong, using the brand’s own Exynos chip platform. It was originally rumored that Z Flip8 would maintain a similar plan, but according to the latest news, the manufacturer may introduce a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip version.
According to blogger Lanzuk on the naver Korean social network, the Galaxy Z Flip8 series may use Exynos and Snapdragon dual-chip platform solutions, mainly because the production cost of the former is significantly higher than expected.
The article mentioned that Qualcomm has provided attractive product orders to Samsung, so it may be due to cost considerations. Eventually, Z Flip8 may be launched with Exynos and Snapdragon platform models according to regions.
