Garmin’s well-known Forerunner series today launched two new models, Forerunner 70 and Forerunner 170, which add running and walking training for the first time to encourage novice runners to take the first step with the slogan “If you can’t run, you can just walk”. They are expected to go on sale on May 25, with prices starting at 7,990 yuan.
The new Forerunner 70 and Forerunner 170 are both equipped with 1.2-inch AMOLED screens, which have the advantages of high brightness and delicate colors. They can clearly display real-time data no matter what environment they are in. Both are highlighted by contrasting colors and colorful designs. With a 13-day battery life, they make daily wear more stylish and reliable in addition to running.
Both watches have built-in “daily training suggestions” that can detect the physical condition of the day and provide training schedules, and a new “running and walking training” is added to make it easier for novices to get started. If you are ready to compete, users can also use Garmin Coach to provide training plans for running, muscle strength, and physical fitness coaches, which will dynamically adjust training content to help users achieve their set goals.
During normal rest, the watch can also support “all-weather health monitoring”, which can detect functions such as HRV heart rate variability, sleep quality, etc., and provide reports in the morning and evening, integrating sports performance and body repair suggestions to help create a healthy lifestyle.
Forerunner 70 is the most entry-level model, priced at 7,990 yuan, and available in extreme black, cool purple, pebble white, soft pink, pomelo green, deep sea blue and other color options; Forerunner 170 additionally supports contactless payment (Easy Card, credit card), riding training and other advanced functions, priced at 9,990 yuan, and available in extreme black and pebble white; Forerunner 170 The music version supports offline playback on third-party music platforms and can be connected to headphones to enjoy music while exercising. It is priced at 10,990 yuan and comes in colors such as extreme black, pebble white, turquoise, and bright pink.
