Foreign media “AndroidAuthority” received official confirmation from Google that the first batch of Android XR glasses will be unveiled on the opening day of the I/O Developers Conference on May 19, and the latest news is expected to be announced. The Seoul Economic Daily said that Samsung, as a partner, will launch Android XR glasses together with the Galaxy Z folding phone at the Galaxy Unpacked conference on July 22.
According to official public information, Android XR glasses will be a product of collaboration with Samsung and Qualcomm. They will be built using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 chip, and Samsung will be responsible for hardware production. Google will provide the Android
Jay Kim, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile division, revealed to the foreign media “CNBC” that the first Android XR glasses will be equipped with lenses at the same height as the eyes, and AI can clearly know where the wearer is looking, and connect to the smartphone to process the image information captured by the lens to provide practical suggestions and content.
Google has also recently promised that Android XR glasses will have a stylish and lightweight appearance, and has cooperated with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to ensure that they look good.
