Google held “The Android Show: I/O Edition” today. Although the event focused on software features, the content frequently mentioned “new Pixels and Samsung phones”, quietly hinting at the features that the new generation flagship phone Pixel 11 will have.
For example, the new “Gemini Intelligence” is clearly marked by Google as “launched on new Galaxy S and Pixel phones this summer.” Considering that in recent years, most Pixel phones have released a new generation in the summer, there is a high probability that it is the Pixel 11. Through Gemini Intelligence, mobile phones can achieve smarter AI operations, such as “automatic execution of multi-step tasks across apps”, completing the entire process for users, or smarter “auto-fill” and voice input functions. In addition, Google has announced that it will launch a “Reaction Video” function that can simultaneously record screen and front camera footage, allowing users to imitate the iPhone’s “double shooting” gameplay and record their first reaction to a surprise. There will also be new 3D emoticons and iOS transfer processes. Although they are not exclusive to Pixel phones, they will be the first to experience them with this summer’s new Pixel phones.
The most noteworthy thing is the “glowbar” light bar introduced on the back cover of the Googlebook laptop. Google claims that it is both practical and beautiful, but it has not yet elaborated on its specific function. Based on external news, the biggest change of the new generation Pixel 11 may be the addition of an RGB light bar on the back cover. The design concept seems to be similar to the glowbar. It is reasonable to speculate that users can grasp mobile phone notifications or system status through light changes in the future.
