Over the years, the Xperia 1 series has maintained a narrow and long vertical lens arrangement, which has become a highly recognizable symbol of the brand. The latest renderings of the Xperia 1 VIII leaked recently show that SONY may move to a more mainstream square camera island design. This square block integrates three lenses and flash components, which is visually closer to the design trends of other brands on the market. However, this design change has caused polarizing comments among supporters.
