   My Acer Nitro V17 AI with RTX 5070 and AMD Ryzen 7 260 has 3DMark Time Spy Graphics score of 13574 in TURBO mode (12925 overall score). In Prformance mode it scores 13156 graphics and 12514 overall Time Spy.
   With manual overclock with MSI Afterburner +334MHz CORE / +2167MHz memory it scores in TURBO mode 14071 GPU and 13337 Overall TIme Spy. In PErformance MOde with the same +334MHz CORE / +2167MHz memory OC it scores 13906 GPU and 13113 pts Overall Time Spy.
   Temperatures are 82C GPU and 84C CPU max in TURBO mode with manual oc and RTX 5070 runs at 95W MAX and I paid only 1330 EUR here i Germany for this 16GB DDR5 RAM Full HD model.

   As I have the 4070 model I can say if you plan to hook this laptop up to a 4K Oled TV, like I do at home and my parents place quite regularly. The 4070 can play 4K games but you absolutely need to use DLSS and you need to use settings that require less vram which kind of defeats the purpose of 4K why I don’t recommend models below the 5070Ti which has the best value at the moment.

   As for futureprofing and higher models, I would actually wait until a refresh with the new 3GB vram chips and/or the 60s series comes out, as the 16GB of the 5080 might be enough for the native display resolution of the laptop but for a external 4K display it will becomes obsolete sooner than later. As good looking 4K textures usually don’t require more gpu power as much they need more vram and anything else you can turn down with minimal impact imo. That being said the 5090 has terrible value and if you can wait for a refresh you can probably wait until the 60 series comes out. Which hopefully is a massive performance and efficiency jump.

   As for buying last years model I would say don’t do it as this years will come with higher Wattage and probably have the new Oled displays with higher peak brightness for HDR.

   Lastly idk about the battery testing numbers here. My G16 only last like 3-4 hours max on battery doing browsing and watching YouTube. To improve on that I bought a 100 w powerbank to charge it via usb c so it can survive a longer train ride or flight. The numbers in this video are 100 percent not what I experienced with the battery life. Hopefully this years model with the new intel chip actually improves massive on battery life as promised by the CES marketing.

    Hey! Would love to see you cover a common but underreported issue with Asus Zephyrus laptops — the display cable failure. It starts as subtle screen flickering or artifacting when the lid is at certain angles, then progressively worsens until the screen goes completely black. The root cause is the eDP (display flex cable) running through the hinge area, which gets stressed and worn down over repeated lid movement. Some users have gone through multiple replacement units experiencing the same problem, suggesting it may be a design-level issue with how the cable is routed. Would be great to see a teardown or deep dive on this — a lot of Zephyrus owners don't realize what's happening until it's too late!

    I’ve tried this laptop, and the screen issue makes me quite concerned. Whenever I type, the screen constantly shakes (it might be because I’m using a laptop stand). I’m not sure whether this issue will affect the laptop after a long period of use.

    Hey thanks for this effort.
    I have been seeing some threads in reddit with multiple zephrus g16 users say that the vapour cooling is dangerous, as it has more chances of leaking and damaging CPU and Motherboard. Some also share how asus denied the warranty, how some replaced the vapour cooling with a regular thermal paste and even some experiences of it leaking, the laptop is under a lot of movement, like trevelling.
    Can you do a video/ case study on that or even share your experiences?

    Just watched your videos prior to buying the G16, thanks for all the info ! It's amazing how the price can change between countries. Here in Canada, I hoped to buy the 5070ti version, but in the end it was costing around 55% more than the 5070 (1900USD vs 2900USD). how can a normal man deal with such high prices to just relax after a hard day at work :$

    Great video. I love in Spain I bought a few days ago an Asus Zephyrus G14, just 2700€ (taxes include). Model GA403WW-A93BO58CB1 AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370/64GB/1TB SSD/RTX 5080/14". I'm super happy with it and with the price.. It didn't OS, but I installed super easily 😍. We'll see about performance, I couldn't try a lot of games still.

    5070Ti is the good choice because it's the cheapest with vapor chamber, better temp and lower noise. But waiting for 2026 versions with 160 TGP 🙂
