This game seems to consume tons of VRAM regardless of resolution settings so perhaps the engine is configured to be dynamic in that sense and allocate close to what is available regardless of settings? Some reports seem to confirm this with people online saying the game eats up over 20GB with a 24GB GPU installed.
You were getting close to the same figures at 1080P vs 2160P. During your video the peak was seen 10000MB+ was with 1440P but that was probably just due to track situation on screen at the time.
It would be interesting to see if going to High significantly drops the VRAM utilisation. I rarely play any games at Ultra anyway as tend to find it barely noticeable from high when you are actually playing the game. Did you test High settings at 2160P at all?
Do you have a 10GB or 12GB 3080?
what does 2070 look like with ultra settings?
Would yhe 4060 be able to do 4k medium or high and get 60fps?
