Does iPadOS 26 Change Anything for Logic Pro?
I downloaded the iPadOS 26 Developer Beta to see if any of the massive changes and new features Apple announced at WWDC affect music production on iPad… Here’s what I found.

For the macOS version, i think Logic Pro's UI might be redesigned, along with the utter plugins that have not been redesigned yet. and a version number i've wondered if they may stay at version 11 for 11.3, move to version 12, or follow suit with the year version "Logic Pro 26."

Not all iPad iOS26 new features are available to all iPads, some features only apply to iPad mini A17Pro and iPad M Chips/ supporting Ai or they’ll maybe very limited – windows being one of them. Only 4 windows open on non M or A17Pro iPads.
External display options is another.
Can you zoom in/out Logic pro via mouse wheel with iPad OS 26? Can you do it now?? lol

Thank you for the video! The biggest update for Logic Pro for iPad would be the day we could install MacOS plugins on iPad (Kontakt libraries and any other third-party plugins…). Please Apple, I'm sure you can find a way to do this, and you will be rewarded with many sales from thousands of musicians.
Has it improved to use an external monitor? Would be great to see how that works!
I found iPad 26 dropped all my app folder names on my Home Screens when the folder is unselected the just show as blank which never happened on iPad Os previous versions.
As I have my folders sorted by instrument type this is a right pain. Not sure if there is a setting I’m missing.
Also can home screen folders be changed colours or is it just folders inside the files app that can be changed?
Other than the name change, I'm wondering if it does anything at all.
I decided to try iPadOS 26 on a older iPad Air — the generation before the M series — and I was pleasantly surprised in relationship to Logic Pro. This is because iPadOS 26 seems to resolve an audio connectivity issue which I experienced with iPadOS. I had tried in the past to connect a Tascam Portacapture X8 to the iPad Air for use with Logic Pro. However, I would always encounter an issue with the X8 because it could not automatically adjust sample rates to the device it is attached to. With the iPad it would not adjust itself to the sample rate of the X8. The aforementioned would lead to all types of issues like constantly having to adjust the sample rate on either the iPad or the X8. With iPadOS 26 the issues I faced seem to have been resolved because of the way audio is now handled.
