Last July, the foreign media “The Information” also mentioned that Apple’s foldable iPhone will be launched in 2026 and will adopt a flip-style design similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip, and the news has been verified again.
Although the new iPhone phone in 2026 will not be published yet, Apple CEO Cook and hardware manager John Ternus have recently hinted that the adjustment of iPhone product line will be more obvious in the future, which will also make these revelations more credible.

There is a guess that the standard version of the iPhone 18 may usher in a comprehensive innovation, after all, in the iPhone 17 series, the standard version has relatively few changes. However, Gurman’s claim seems to suggest that the new design changes will surpass the average model upgrade and may lead to more disruptive innovation.
So which model may the brand new iPhone be used? Foreign media speculated that it may be a comprehensive innovation for the standard iPhone 18 model. After all, in the iPhone 17 series, the appearance of the standard model has almost not changed much.
