Notes: To launch game, MF files must be added into the CrossOver bottle that is being used with Heroic! Instructions below. Video tutorial coming soon.
HOW TO RUN GAME:
1. Once KH3 is installed through Heroic, select the game in your library and click the settings button for KH3. Under the WINE tab make sure Crossover/Wine Version is set to CrossOver 24. For CrossOver Bottle, type in the name of your bottle in CrossOver. Mine is called ‘Steam’.
2. Next, open CrossOver 24 and select the bottle that you are using with Heroic. Under ‘CONTROL PANELS’ select Wine Configuration. Next, select the ‘Libraries’ tab.
3. Where it says ‘New override for library’ click the drop down menu and type mf • you will see 8 different items that start with the letters mf. One by one select each mf item and click add. Once all 8 mf files are added, under the ‘Existing overrides’ section select each mf file, click edit, and switch them to Native. Once all 8 mf files have been set to Native, select Apply and OK. Make sure under ADVANCED SETTINGS that D3DMetal and MSync are toggled ON.
4. Go to Heroic and launch KH3

MacProTips, it feels like to me that you’re putting out only videos lately that feature non-native gaming on Mac. Some of us want to see more games made for our platform of choice. Have you thought about a long-form livestream of Borderlands 2 or 3, Metro Exodus, the Tomb Raider trilogy Deus Ex: Mankind Divided,,just examples? Not always looking for a video that would require for me at least a tutorial of why I should buy a game from HGL, plus buying and setting up Crossover. It seems like you’re assuming that we’ve all made that level of effort and investment, or we should. And, have you given any thought to adding chapter markers to separate your videos better?
