If your iPhone shows “iOS 26.6.2 Unable to Download” while trying to download the iOS software update, or the update is stuck on Downloading, try these fixes in order.

The first solution is to check your Wi-Fi connection.
Open Safari and load any website to make sure your internet is working properly. If your Wi-Fi is slow or unstable, connect to another reliable Wi-Fi network and try the update again.
You can also open Control Center, turn on Airplane Mode for about 10 seconds, and then turn it off.
Now, go back to Settings, General, Software Update, and try downloading iOS software update again.
The second solution is to check your iPhone storage.
Open Settings, Scroll and tap General, and select iPhone Storage.
Make sure you have enough free storage available for the software update. If your storage is almost full, remove unnecessary apps, downloaded videos, or other large files.
The third solution is to delete the downloaded iOS update and download it again.
On the same screen. Under the Settings, General, and iPhone Storage.
Scroll down and look for the iOS 26 or iOS 27 update file.
Tap on it and select Delete Update.
Now restart your iPhone, then go to Settings, General, and Software Update, and download the update again.
Next, connect your iPhone to a charger. Make sure your battery is sufficiently charged before trying to download and install the update.
Also, turn off Low Power Mode.
Go to Settings, Scroll to Battery, Under the power mode, disable Low Power Mode. Then try the software update again.
If you’re using a VPN, temporarily turn it off. A VPN or certain network configurations can sometimes interfere with connecting to Apple’s update servers.
If it’s reconnecting automatically, then delete the VPN profile or app to completely stop VPN forcefully. Under the general, scroll to VPN & Device Management.
Tap on the VPN proflile, and Tap on i button next to VPN name and Delete VPN profile.
The next solution is to force restart your iPhone.
Quickly press and release the Volume up button then Quickly press and release the volume down button then only press and hold the power button until the apple logo appear on the screen after black screen.
If the update still won’t download, reset your network settings.
Go to Settings, then General, scroll to last on the screen and Select “Transfer or Reset iPhone”, Reset, and select Reset Network Settings.
This won’t delete your photos, apps, or other personal data, but it will remove saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi and try downloading iOS update again.
If nothing works, update your iPhone using a Mac or Windows PC.
Connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable.
On a Mac, open Finder and select your iPhone. On a Windows PC, open iTunes and select your iPhone.
Choose Check for Update, then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the latest iOS update.
