As someone struggled when my mac didn’t work and decided to use the ipad i have, I can tell you the experience between the laptop and iPad is still have huge gap.
Don’t get motivated from such videos!!! The efficiency in laptops is still not near at all. The problem is software + the app that are designed mainly for touch so simple stuff that can be done with clicks doesn’t exist even for apps that have a laptop version already.
Window mode??? It is even worse than the basic old simple split screen. Here you are limited with one desktop and if you want to switch to another split you would click here and there and wonder if you would ever reach the second split and the third an do on!
You want to connect to external monitor with mouse and keyboard (not the magic one)? Guess what, many important shortcuts require the global key which most keyboards doesn’t have!! While same action in Mac doesn’t!!! Why Apple?? Why!!!! You will endup replacing one if the keys and give up its usage to act as global key.
Even the esc button not always works.
These things are too basic, an absolute basics of any actual computer in earth, apple have been telling they are doing it for too long maybe 7+ years, but they go around and didn’t solve the main issue the basic experience.
Menu bar you said?? Last thing I would care about? When I am going to use it? Give the accutal things then talk
I”m moving 4000+ journal entries over to Apple Notes, because Apple Journal won’t have the deep integration with the new SIRI. But I want it to know as much as possible about me.

Do you think that AI will just dissolve into the Mac OS operating system ? I mean will maybe you also want subscribe (via the Apple shop?) to OpenAI or Claude too for the more difficult queries, but you wouldn't need a separate Claude or ChatGPT App – just mac OS. This would suit Apple fine as they would still get to clip the ticket of any subscription to more powerful AI's whille remainign the boss of the desktop.
With Photos, you really just want extend to add a little, not vast vistas. The further away the extend goes, the more it has to guess. There’s no real way to make that without having some odd guesses. Cleanup has been amazing. Last year, it was barely usable. Beta 2 has eliminated some bugs, such as tools not showing up in most images. That’s fixed. Reframe is interesting. While I don’t see using extend, the reframe seems more useful. But again, cleanup is the most useful. I had a photo of my friends daughter and her two kids at a table. I took a quick snap. A glass was in front of most of the girls’ face. Photoshop A.I. tools did a middling job. Nano Banana was better, but Photos did a perfect job. I know the kids very well, and her face was exactly correct. Amazing, really!
So far, all of the A.I. works really well. Given that it’s the beta 2 ,and that we have several more to go until mid September, that’s impressive.

I can't be involved because I live in France and don't have access to Siri Ai because of EU and French regulations…..we are loosers.
I haven't heard the British Siri voice for years, it's still so bad and annoying. I switched to the female Irish voice as soon as I could, I find that the best sounding.
I think on the EQ mentions, what we will probably see is the usual Apple pace. 3 bars this year, 5 next and maybe 8-10 in the year after… That’s my prediction…

So incredibly cool…and yet so incredibly scary! Living in the US right now under the Trump administration, I look at the ease at which any government entity might look up my past attendance at protest events, or online conversations and posts about how much I hate the current direction, and I realize that freedom here is probably already over. But I just set a reminder to call my parents, so I can see the appeal!

I'm impressed by these demos (from you and other creators) with the Beta version. It's making me think that finally Apple AI will be worthwhile. One thing I have noticed that might be a small improvement from the last iOS update is Siri (in car play) will now describe a photo sent in messages. That is a HUGE game changer for someone like me who is the car a lot. My kids send me images and before all I go was "X sent an image, do you want to reply" yesterday Siri gave me a description of the image. It's not perfect, but at least it tells me if I need to pull over to look at it or if it can wait. At least I got that form my recent experience. That is a huge quality of life improvement. I hope to see more like it.

I wonder if SiriAI is going to replace/merge with the microphone icon system-wide including on the on-screen iPad keyboard…Imagine using it in Apple Notes. Imagine the microphone icon evolving beyond dictation to a point where it can tell between dictating and asking to use an in-app feature (creating a checklist) on the open note or simply interacting with the app (open new note)…No pop-up Siri window at the top of the note just seamless integration…
If anyone knows a tech reviewer who isn’t totally beholden to Apple and will actually review them objectively and call out their repeated failures and decline I’m all ears! 😂

OK, so it sounds like iPadOS will still be on M5. And the other iPads and I’m guessing you’re using a pro iPad but I’m not sure. which I was hoping that they might allow iPad Pro MV users to use macOS on their iPad and five pros to try to kill the competition which would be in this case the surface tablets, which run Windows 11 I was hoping Apple would make the iPad Pro M5 a competitor to them hopefully next year Siri new AI thing works very well I think as far as I’ve seen from your video and I’m pre-impressed that said Google done it for a couple years now but now that Apple’s finally fix their AI Siri that’s awesome

I don't know about the extend pictures I think extend is worse, for not being what is really there. Re frame is impressive, but again, it's not a real shot. I was often asked to do this as a graphic designer working on hobby magazines. I had to explain why it wasn't possible to rotate an object in 3D from badly taken shots. Now it is possible. But it is impressive now as Ai. Sorry EU can't get it, but guess for good reason.
Just now getting an EQ is insane lol. Then for it to be so basic is just ridiculous. Also seriously they need to update the keyboard on the iPhone my goodness I wonder if these guys actually use their own products or know what the competition is doing. Happy they’re finally starting to step into the modern era of technology.

Mark, you have a very good following for your excellent videos. You don’t need the silly surprised face on your video icons. I have decided to ignore all videos that have those surprised looks.
I want an option to disable liquid glass completely, i.e. switch it off, so its not using any of my iPad Pro's CPU, GPU and RAM resources, because memory management on iPadOS is very poor. Even if you have an iPad Pro with 16 GB RAM, and I have two, a 12.9-inch M2 and an 11-inch M4, I have apps routinely crashing when multitasking, forcing me to reopen the app and reintroduce to the multicast group which really frustrates your work flow. I hope memory management improves on iPad OS 27, but I would much rather Apple get off the fence and let those who want to run MacOS 27 on their 16 GB iPad Pro are allowed to do so. I may try iPadOS 27 on my 12.9-inch iPad Pro when it becomes a publc beta, but it will probably stop me sideloading and running apps that require JIT compilation, which currently works on iPadOS 26. I currently don't use SIRI, but may try it on iPadOS.

in most cases where a feature will not be available "in Europe," it's the EU, not all of Europe, that is meant. Such features are invariably available in Switzerland, to the extent to which the various languages spoken in Switzerland are supported, or one is satisfied with English.
I love using my ipad air 13” in a laptop type scenario, the one app I would love to see work on ipad like the macbook version is Pioneer rekordbox. Would be great to use both the dj controls on touch screen and also sync usb sticks.

Love the video. It’s thorough enough and I appreciate the honestly on some of the photos app changes regarding ai. I agree mostly. My issue is with the increase in pricing for Apple devices and Apple essentially software locking features for every recent expensive phones/ipqds, etc. My theory is that with the price hikes, people will want to buy older devices and Apple is cleverly trying to force us to buy the new stuff and spend the new price by only making certain features available on the newest machines. It’s small this time around but it seems to be a hint at Apple’s future tactics. Not good, IMO.
AI, you say. Thanks for confirming I don't want it. That's another reason my 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 is still a better choice for me – that and the actual headphones socket.

I have had Siri in my computers since it was an independent app many years ago now. I am glad I have lived long enough to see it and the surrounding technology to now fulfilling its promise as a technological personal assistant. It has been a long time coming.
I want a life indexer, one that I can ask about the contents of audio and video files as well as images and text. Can Siri do this? If not, what can? – or, do I have to get an AI to build it myself?
