I have iPad Pro 10.5 which is the second generation smaller iPad Pro btw. It’s so laggy and suddenly goes very hot when I want to update the Apps on App Store & I have to tap update twice before starting to run the update itself. Overall, doing other things are super smooth like playing games or watching videos.
Any suggestions why does this happen? Is this because running on iOS 17 or something?

4K 30 frames per second is very excellent. 4k60 frames wastes memory without benefit. Let's not forget that in the end you will not be able to send it in full quality easily.

i had the same ipad too, gold color and 128gb storage, purchased from late 2016 and used till it passed away in late 2020 although it had lots of hardware issues before, dead NAND drive from feb 2018 and then dead camera front, overheating, and half-dead digitizer 🥲. it was a great ipad though as i loved the performance back when this was released
You should compare this to an iPad 2 also on iOS 9.
