i got this monitor a few weeks ago. it is gorgeous and although it is not "as plug and play" as an Apple, one shouldn't expect as such… my only gripe is that ALL the ports are USB-C 2.0. None of the youtube reviews (reviewers) talk about it – becareful if you want to connect a USB C (3x, 4x) or thunderbolt camera straight to the monitor – it wont work – or at least i have not yet been able to make it work from the G32p to the elgato 4k camera to date. The only option is to connect the camera to your computer (i have mac studio and lapto so its a bit annoying as i have to switch cables every time i switch devices) – could be user error so any tips is greatly appreicated

Is the Height Adjustable?
My unit from Amazon does have a noticeable color shift from center compared to the edges (warmer/pinker in the middle, bluer on the edges). Is that what you also see? Or does that need calibration?
Not perfect, it would have had to be 120Hz and 5k, not 6.

The glossy panel is huge. I think other brands would sell more of these kinds of monitors if they simply made the panel glossy. Thanks for the video, this was really helpful.
I ended up buying this from Amazon for the return policy. Does anyone else notice pretty dramatic color temperature shift across the screen? In particular center vs edges?

I just received mine and it‘s a piece of art with an amazing picture quality. With the integrated KVM I can easily switch between my MacBook Pro M4 Pro and my Windows laptop. I can highly recommend the G32P 🤩
Don’t think this is a 6k XDR contender. Think of it as a 32” 6k version of the 27” 5k Studio

Got this last week direct from alibaba and best decision and savings for my work flow. Apple monitors are great but sometimes overkill for 90% of the people including pricing.

alternative? U kidding right? 500 nits, just LED, and 60Hz. This is studio alternative, not XDR

Isn't this monitor half as bright Studio XDR Display?
I'm split on getting the new Studio Display XDR or this because the new Studio Display basic version is just the same 11-year-old panel and I can't really bring myself to spend 1500 pounds on it.
7:50 Before making videos, do some research, please. The XDR is NOT a miniLED panel. Never was. Just because it has 576 zones, doesn't make it a miniLED panel. You can't find the claim at Apple's website or anywhere else from them, that it is.
Another error that you make here, is asuming, that Apple's infor is correct, about contrast ratio. Do you even know, what contrast ratio is? It's the difference, between white and black, on the screen. A contrast ratio of a million to one, would mean, at 1600 nits, the monitor should be able to do 0,0016 nits, at black level or more or less total black. It can't, not even close. The million to one contrast ratio, is just a gimmic number, thrown out there, by most monitor manufacturers. In reality, the XDR is just a standard IPS panel, with a generic contrast ratio, of 1000:1, in SDR mode. Tests by individual reviewers have shown, that the contrast ratio of the XDR, is around 950:1. That's pretty bad, concidering modern IPS panels, like IPS Nano, can do as much, as 1500:1 or even higher.
And in HDR mode, the XDR 2019 model, can do about 12.000:1. After it's calibrated! As a demonstration, how poor this is, the $30.000 Sony BVM-HX3110 can do around 200.000:1. That's 20 times "better".
I don't know, what Kuycon's claim is, or if it even holds up, but a nano display should definitely be able to do better contrast ratio, than a regular ISP panel, from 2019.
The alu chassis doesn't bring anything to the table. It's about the build quality. And just because a monitor has a plastic surface, doesn't make it a bad monitor. I think, you are really talking about design, not build quality here.
I can promise you, that any high end monitor is build very well, no matter the brand.
8:20 "Real" HDR just means, that you can display 10-bit colors, at a minimum of 400 nits peak. That's it! That's the lowest HDR standard! And it is not required, that the monitor is using local dimming, or self-emitting LEDs. That's nonsense! I own a "cheap" Asus ProArt HDR600 certified display, byt the Vesa HDR600 standard. It doesn't have FALD zones, it's not Oled.
Thanks for making this great video with a more thorough comparison than the other vids out there. Especially colour accuracy. However, a couple of nits to pick. The first has to do literally with nits, as in how you had bright lights shining at the monitor while you calibrated it. I hope that was only for the video and you did the actual measurement in a darkened room! Second, you seemed to specifically omit Adobe RGB measurements. That's an important metric for photographers and print designers.
But this vid has me pretty much sold on the Kuycon.
