DoCoMo has announced that it will release a mobile router “Wi-Fi STATION SH-54C” compatible with 5G standalone (SA) on January 16th.
First 5G SA capable router
“Wi-Fi STATION SH-54C” is the first Wi-Fi router that supports “5G SA”, which DOCOMO started offering in August 2022.
“5G SA” is a communication method that combines 5G-dedicated core network equipment and 5G base stations, enabling higher-speed and larger-capacity communication than conventional 5G.
