Apple’s own iOS page puts it in five words: “iOS 27 available starting 9.14.” That is Monday, September 14, 2026. There is still no clock time on that page. No time zone. No country order.
Where to look for the update
On a compatible iPhone, open Settings, then General, then Software Update. Apple lists the free update for iPhone 11 and later, plus iPhone SE (2nd generation and later). The same Monday date also covers iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27 on Apple’s materials from the September 9 event.
What Apple is highlighting
The lead feature on the iOS page is Siri AI, rolling out in English first. Apple Intelligence features that need it, including Siri AI, are listed for iPhone 15 Pro and newer. Other items Apple names for 27.0 include Liquid Glass refinements, faster app launches and AirDrop on Apple’s own numbers, iPhone Handoff for a shared number across two phones, Apple Cash bill splitting in the U.S., longer Find My sharing windows, and parked CarPlay video apps in vehicles that support it.
What is not settled yet
Apple has not published a release hour. MacRumors and others still point at the usual Pacific morning window, around 10 a.m. PT, but that is not an Apple line. The September 9 release candidate was build 24A435. Apple has not said in public whether that exact build is the one that shows up under Software Update today.
If the row is not there yet, charge the phone, stay on Wi-Fi, and check again later in the day. Carrier support for iPhone Handoff is separate. Siri AI availability outside English markets is also separate from the base 27.0 install.
