IT House reported on September 1 that technology media 9to5Mac published a blog post yesterday (August 31), reporting that the first batch of Apple’s first foldable phone (expected to be called iPhone Ultra after launch) is in tight supply, and some regions may not be able to purchase it at the same time as the US market.
The 2026 autumn conference held at 1 a.m. on September 10th, Beijing time, is of great significance to Apple. In terms of people at the helm, this is the first new product launch conference held by new CEO John Ternus after Tim Cook handed over the reins. It is his first major public event since taking office. IT House will also provide the first time report on the whole process.
In terms of products, in addition to the changes to iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, many clues indicate that Apple will launch its first foldable phone, which is expected to be called iPhone Ultra after launch.
Reuters published a blog post on August 27, reporting that the iPhone Ultra is expected to be released in a few markets including the United States in September this year, and judging from supply chain news, there is currently no evidence that this opportunity will be postponed to 2027.
However, Reuters also said that the supply of iPhone Ultra is tight in the early stage of the launch, and the quantity of distribution is “extremely limited”, which may aggravate the situation of scalpers increasing prices.
In terms of sales performance, Bloomberg previously cited data from market research agency IDC and estimated that iPhone Ultra shipments will exceed 10 million units in the first year of its launch.
