Bloomberg reporter Mark Garman gives the latest predictions about the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, which are expected to be announced at the event “Good Morning World” held by Apple on September 10, Japan time.
There is a possibility that a ceramic model will be added to Apple Watch Series 12, and it is expected that there will be two colors, not only white but also gray.
Will Apple Watch Edition be revived?
It was inferred from the leaked prototypes that Apple was considering a black or gray ceramic model. If the ceramic model is revived in Apple Watch Series 12, there is a possibility that the name “Apple Watch Edition” will be revived for the first time in a while.
In the past, Apple has sold models that use high-end materials such as ceramic and titanium as Apple Watch Editions. However, at this time there is no concrete information that the Edition name will be revived.
Is the ceramic available in two colors?
In the past Apple Watches, in addition to the white ceramic model, a gray ceramic model was also sold in Series 3. Also, it seems that black ceramic was also considered for Series 5.
Therefore, even if ceramic is revived in Series 12, it is quite possible that it will be available in two colors: white and dark gray. Leaker Kosutami also predicted its return in Apple Watch Series 12.
Is the ceramic model the same price as Ultra 4?
Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 are expected to be improved mainly in internal specifications and healthcare functions without major design changes.
Therefore, this year may focus on changes that can be made while maintaining the current design, such as the addition of a ceramic case.
If a ceramic model is added, it is expected to be priced higher than the aluminum or titanium models.
Past Apple Watch Editions were also significantly more expensive than regular models, so it is possible that the price will be close to that of Apple Watch Ultra 4.
Rumors about major improvements in Series 12 and Ultra 4

Regarding hypertension notifications, there is also the possibility of further improvements to the existing functions. The current Hypertension Notification uses Apple Watch’s sensors and algorithms to detect signs of high blood pressure over a period of time.
If the ceramic model is revived, it will likely be an improvement that will add a clear newness to the Apple Watch Series 12 lineup without significantly changing the design itself.
