On September 10, 2025, Apple announced the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air and the iPhone 17 Pro series.
All of these models sold in Japan are eSIM models.

Only the iPhone17 Pro series supports USB 3
The iPhone17 and iPhone17 Air and iPhone17 Pro series all use USB-C as the external connection terminal, but the USB specifications are different.
The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are compatible with USB 2, while the iPhone 17 Pro series supports USB 3.
Always display displays are available for iPhone 17 and iPhone Air
The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will have displays that support ProMotion technology, but it was rumored that they will not support constant display, but this is marked as “Always Display Display” in the specifications section.
The display size and resolution differ between the iPhone17 and iPhone17 Air, but the iPhone17 Pro series, however, it was confirmed from the specifications of each model that the display specifications are the same as the minimum and maximum brightness.
