X has posted a document comparing the suppliers and order percentages for each of the four iPhone 17 series models, as well as specifications for the iPhone 17 series and iPhone 16 series.
In this article, the iPhone17 Air’s chip is the A19, not the A19 Pro.
Suppliers of the iPhone 17 series 4 models
We have covered the main information regarding suppliers and order percentages for each part of the four iPhone 17 series models.
- The percentage of units manufactured per model is 21% for the iPhone 17, 15% for the iPhone 17 Air, 31% for the iPhone 17 Pro, and 34% for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
- The baseband chips for cellular modems are 80% made by Qualcomm and 20% made in-house by Apple.
- Samsung Display and LG Display are available for all models, while BOE is the only iPhone17 and iPhone17 Air.
It was rumored that BOE had ordered an OLED for the Chinese model of the iPhone 17 Pro.
The iPhone 17 Air accounts for the total number of units manufactured by the iPhone 17 series, which is only 6% for the iPhone 16 series, but considering the 15% figure, there is no excessive expectation.
It was reported that BOE has received an order for the OLED display for the Chinese model of the iPhone 17 Pro, but this list from Citi does not.
Points to note regarding the specifications of the iPhone 17 series

In this document, the chip on the iPhone17 Air is set to be A19, not the A19 Pro.
It is stated that both models of the iPhone17 Pro series have an optical telephoto magnification of 8 times.
As rumored, all four models of Wi-Fi chips are expected to be equipped with Apple’s own Wi-Fi 7 compatible chips.
Only the iPhone 17 Air is equipped with C1, with slight differences in the production percentage
The iPhone17 Air is the only one that will feature Apple’s own cellular modem, and the other models seem to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X80 5G modem.
The baseband chips for cellular modems were 80% made by Qualcomm and 20% made by Apple, so it’s 5% different than the 15% percentage of the iPhone 17 Air, which is the percentage of the manufacturing unit.
This is the range of errors due to the different companies that created the documents, and multiple sources have told us that C1 will only be installed on the iPhone 17 Air, so that’s probably correct.
iPhone 17 series storage capacity and sales price
Morgan Stanley also provides forecasts regarding the storage capacity lineup and sales prices for the iPhone 17 series.
Although the storage capacity is the same, is it the same price as the iPhone 16 series?
What’s noteworthy here is that when compared to the iPhone 16 series, all models have the same storage capacity, and the selling price is the same (price is still the same).
The minimum storage capacity for the iPhone17 Air and iPhone17 Pro is 256GB, but Morgan Stanley expects the selling price will be the same as the 256GB model of the iPhone16 Plus and iPhone16 Pro.
Regarding the selling price of the iPhone 17 series, several sources have mentioned the possibility that the minimum storage capacity of the iPhone 17 Pro will be 256GB, but there are differences of opinion that when it comes to selling price, “If the storage capacity is the same, the selling price will remain the same,” and that “Even if the storage capacity is the same, the price will be raised by $100 (15,000 yen including tax)”.
