The HUAWEI Pura 90s series has just been officially released in the global market, and the market focus has begun to turn to the next generation of photography flagships. Preliminary specifications information about the HUAWEI Pura 100 series has leaked on the Internet recently. The news indicates that the manufacturer is testing different screen sizes and display technologies for this new machine, which is expected to be launched in 2027!
According to the tipster “Digital Chat Station”, HUAWEI is currently testing two different screen sizes for the Pura 100 series, namely a 6.6-inch medium screen and a 6.9-inch large screen. It is reported that the manufacturer is currently evaluating a straight-screen panel solution using 2.5D glass material. Both screens in the test support 1.5K resolution and are expected to have a 120Hz screen refresh rate.
In terms of specific model configuration division, the 6.6-inch screen is expected to be used in the standard version and Pura 100 Pro models, and will continue to use the standard LTPO OLED panel. As for the 6.9-inch large screen, it is expected to be exclusive to the PRO MAX model. The latest news points out that this 6.9-inch screen will be upgraded to a dual-layer OLED display solution. If the news is true, this will be the first time that HUAWEI has integrated dual-layer OLED panel technology into the Pura series of smartphones.
For reference, the Pura 90 Pro currently on the market uses a 6.6-inch LTPO OLED screen, providing 1256 x 2760 resolution and 459 PPI; while the Pro Max model is also equipped with a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED screen. The market expects that HUAWEI will continue this three-model market with the Pura 100 series in 2027. Although the screen size of the new phone is similar to that of the current model, it is believed that through the introduction of new panel technology and expected upgrades in body design, processor chips and camera components, it will bring a different experience to users.
