Samsung’s new foldable screen products will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked conference next Wednesday, July 22. Among them, the focus model Galaxy Z Fold8 has a wide folding screen. Recently, suspected detailed hardware specifications have been circulated on the Internet.
Tipster Roland Quandt disclosed through German media the detailed configuration of the suspected Galaxy Z Fold8. The main screen is a 7.6-inch 2,448 x 1,848 pixel Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel.
The external screen of Z Fold8 uses a 4:3 ratio 5.5-inch 1,972 x 1,248 pixel Dynamic AMOLED 2X. Both the internal and external screens support a 120Hz dynamic update rate to ensure the industry’s top picture experience.
In terms of body design, Galaxy Z Fold8 will be extremely thin and light. It is revealed that the dimensions at launch are 161.4 x 123.9 x 4.5mm and the weight is only 201g. The overall size is slightly lighter and thinner than Z Fold8 Ultra.
As for the specifications, Z Fold8 will be equipped with the Galaxy Special Edition S8E Gen5 chip, a storage capacity of 16+1TB, a built-in 4,800mAh battery that supports 45W charging, and a dual 50MP main wide-angle lens design on the back.
Mobile Magazine’s short comment: Since Samsung will launch two models with big discounts this year, the Z Fold8, a new design with a wide folding screen, will directly compare with the iPhone Ultra, and the price may be cheaper than expected when released.
