Digital blogger “Dingjian Digital” earlier posted on his Weibo account that Huawei will submit a patent diagram for the folding method of a tri-fold screen mobile phone in 2023. It is revealed that there is a high chance that it will be used in the upcoming Mate XT2 mobile phone.
It can be seen from the patent image that the Mate XT2 may adopt a U-shaped folding method, with the lens group and the motherboard of the fuselage centered, using a “right first, then left” design. After folding, the main screen will be stored inside, and the external screen operation will be used instead.
The tipster mentioned that the actual appearance of the Mate XT2 is roughly similar to the patent image, but the front lens of the main screen will be placed in the same split-screen position as the external screen, and the back lens group may adopt a square design.
