HUAWEI recently released the HarmonyOS 6.1 system upgrade for Watch GT 6 smartwatch users in the domestic market. This firmware update not only optimizes the overall performance of the wearable device, but also adds a number of practical functions for the sports experience. The newly launched running power monitoring and potential analysis allow users to more accurately grasp physical energy consumption during running, thereby adjusting their daily training schedule.

Watch GT 6 already has a wealth of built-in sports tracking options, and after upgrading to HarmonyOS 6.1, the watch’s data analysis capabilities have been further enhanced. The new running power measurement function can help users accurately control pace and provide easy-to-understand multi-dimensional data insights. The system can dynamically detect the user’s energy output during short-distance sprinting or long-distance jogging, and at the same time clearly display the daily distribution ratio of aerobic and anaerobic exercise, allowing users to balance the training structure according to the cycle plan, making the exercise process healthier and longer-lasting.
In addition to running power monitoring, this system update also brings a more comprehensive assessment of training status. The watch will provide suggestions for the best physical load range to help users effectively control the intensity of each exercise, while also adding a performance prediction mechanism and detailed training guidance. When introducing this upgrade, HUAWEI officials pointed out that the new system allows runners to accurately control their rhythm and make scientific adjustments through comprehensive insights into multi-dimensional data, ensuring that they can fully enjoy sports while training efficiently.
Currently, HUAWEI has taken the lead in pushing the HarmonyOS 6.1 upgrade to domestic Watch GT 6 users. Now users only need to open the “Huawei Sports Health” App on their mobile phones, enter the device page, click General Settings, Firmware Update, and then select Check for Updates to manually download and install the latest version of the system software.
