It is widely rumored that Apple will release its first wide-folding screen iPhone Ultra (tentative name) in September this year, but those who are anxious to buy it may encounter bad news; the latest theory is that although the device will still be released at the same time, the single sale time may be postponed to early 2027.
According to Taiwanese media Economic Daily, Apple’s first wide-folding screen phone, iPhone Ultra, is likely to be “announced first and launched later.” That is, it will still be launched at the Apple Event in September, but the sales date will be postponed to early next year.
The brand’s sales focus in September is still on the iPhone 18 Pro series. According to previous rumors, iPhone 18, iPhone Air 2nd generation and iPhone 18e will be launched in the first quarter of next year, and there may be more foldable screen models.
Mobile Magazine’s short comment: Considering that it reduces the mutual impact on sales of its own mobile phones, it is quite reasonable to delay the sales period of iPhone Ultra; another article mentioned that the launch of the latter may “hardly challenge” Samsung’s S27 series.
