The DJI OSMO POCKET series has successfully opened up the gimbal camera market, and now high-quality competing products from other brands have also appeared one after another. Among them, Insta360 has grabbed POCKET 4P and is the first to launch the Luna Ultra dual-lens gimbal camera in Hong Kong, equipped with a LEICA 1-inch lens and detachable OLED remote control function.
According to the official website of Insta360 Hong Kong, the Hong Kong version of Luna Ultra is available in star black and moonlight white. The standard package is priced at $5,599, which includes the camera body, protective case, windshield, 1/4-inch threaded handle and hand strap.
The Luna Ultra Creator Set is priced at $6,699. In addition to the standard set contents, it also adds a storage bag, battery life handle, Mic Pro transmitter and amplifier. The full range of products will begin shipping on June 13.
Insta360 Luna Ultra is mainly composed of LEICA 1-inch 20mm focal length main lens and 1/1.3-inch 60mm telephoto lens. The former has a minimum focusing distance of 9cm and the long lens is 15cm.
In terms of size, Luna Ultra measures 52.4 x 169.9 x 38.5mm and weighs from 233g (white 235g). It is highly portable; the 2-inch OLED can be rotated, controlled in groups, and can be detached for remote control use.
Luna Ultra can record videos up to 8K/30p, has 47GB built-in and supports 1TB MicroSD expansion, and has a built-in 1,550mAh battery (remote control 210mAh) with a battery life of 240 minutes.
Mobile Magazine’s short review: Luna Ultra combines the advantages of previous gimbal cameras, and adds LEICA dual lenses and a detachable OLED remote control with greater creative flexibility. The overall user experience is highly anticipated.
