There has been a lot of news recently about Google’s next-generation smart watch, the Pixel Watch 5. The most dramatic one is the recent news that a diver picked up a suspected Pixel Watch 5 prototype at the bottom of the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. Many netizens laughed and called it “the most dramatic product leak in history.” Regardless of whether this incident is true or not, Pixel Watch 5 seems to be one step closer to its official debut, because it has appeared in the official certification database.
According to foreign media reports, Google’s unreleased Pixel Watch 5 has appeared in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and the certification documents show the model names G0F3Y, G1XJ6, G25QD and GFW3R.
Certification document has no specification details
Although the certification document does not directly indicate the product name, the Google brand is clearly shown in the information, and the certification approval date is June 1, 2026. According to Google’s past product planning, these models are estimated to be Pixel Watch 5. Among them, 4 sets of models are likely to correspond to two size versions, namely 41mm and 45mm. Each size provides a Wi-Fi version and a mobile network version.
This product strategy is actually the same as that of recent generations of Pixel Watch, and has become a fixed configuration of Google’s smart watch product line. However, this certification document only exposed model information and did not reveal more specifications.
Google’s new product recommendations are expected to be released in August
As for the hardware specifications of Pixel Watch 5, market news is still quite limited at present. Rumors indicate that the new machine may be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, but the relevant information has not been confirmed and remains to be further officially announced by Google. The market generally expects that Google will release the new flagship of the Pixel 11 series in August this year, and the Pixel Watch 5 is expected to debut simultaneously.

In addition, a netizen recently accidentally picked up a suspected Pixel Watch 5 prototype on the seabed while diving on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. Google and Pixel Watch 5 were clearly printed on the back of the fuselage. Judging from the exposed photos, the appearance of the new generation product has not changed much compared to the previous generation. However, there is still no answer as to whether this incident is a real loss or some kind of marketing operation, which makes the whole incident even more topical.
