Xiaomi officially brings its new T-series smartphones to the Hong Kong market, launching Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. This new series introduces dual size options to the T series for the first time, and focuses on improving image and battery life specifications. The entire series is equipped with a Leica Summilux 5x optical telephoto lens and the first display screen to receive TÜV Rheinland’s quadruple eye protection certification. Among them, the high-end model Xiaomi 17T Pro is equipped with the largest capacity 7000mAh silicon carbon battery in the history of Xiaomi mobile phones. The new phone will go on sale simultaneously at major retailers, telecom operators and official websites starting from 12 noon today.
The Xiaomi 17T series uses a three-lens system with a 50-megapixel main lens as the core. Both new phones are equipped with a 50-megapixel Leica Summilux 5x optical telephoto lens for the first time, supporting OIS optical anti-shake technology, and providing 30cm macro shooting, 10x optical-level lossless zoom, and up to 120x AI zoom functions. The system also adds the Leica Live Moment function, which can record dynamic images before and after the shooting moment, and the Xiaomi 17T Pro version additionally supports 4K 60fps movie-level recording.
Hardware performance is another focus of this upgrade. Xiaomi 17T Pro uses the 3nm process MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, is equipped with a 7000mAh high-energy silicon carbon battery, and supports 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The Xiaomi 17T, which has a relatively lightweight body design, is equipped with a 4nm architecture MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip. It has a built-in 6500mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging. To ensure stable performance, both phones have built-in Xiaomi 3D IceLoop cooling system.
In terms of display, the Xiaomi 17T series uses a 1.5K resolution AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 3,500nit. Xiaomi 17T Pro supports a maximum screen refresh rate of 144Hz, while Xiaomi 17T supports 120Hz. This series of screens has TÜV Rheinland Smart Eye Care certification (Xiaomi Vision Care), which automatically adjusts through hardware technology to reduce blue light and screen flicker.
The Xiaomi 17T series is available in three body colors: black, purple and blue. In terms of pricing, the 12GB + 256GB version of Xiaomi 17T is priced at $3,999, and the 12GB + 512GB version is priced at $4,499. The Xiaomi 17T Pro with higher specifications is available in three capacity versions, 12GB + 256GB priced at $4,999, 12GB + 512GB priced at $5,499, and the version with 1TB storage space is priced at $5,999.
