ASUS released the ROG XREAL R1, an e-sports AR glasses equipped with 240Hz Micro OLED technology, at the CES consumer electronics show in the United States in January this year. It sparked a heated discussion at the time, and Taiwan also officially announced the launch of pre-orders, focusing on immersive entertainment experience.
ASUS ROG XREAL R1 glasses are compatible with a variety of devices such as mobile phones, laptops, desktops, game consoles, and handheld game consoles. By plugging and playing via USB-C, you can present a virtual large screen of up to 171 inches in front of your eyes. The image quality is Full HD (1,920 × 1,080 pixels), and combined with Bose sound adjustment, you can feel more immersive whether you are playing games, watching TV series, watching movies, or listening to music. It also provides a variety of display modes, supporting “hover” and “follow” modes. Among them, “follow mode” emphasizes that the screen will move with the line of sight, and the screen will always remain in front of the line of sight even if you turn your head. Not only that, the built-in real-time 2D to 3D conversion function can further enhance the three-dimensional sense and spatial hierarchy of the picture.
ROG XREAL R1 is also deeply integrated with the ROG Ally handheld console. Players can adjust settings such as brightness, screen size, and aspect ratio directly on the handheld console. The included ROG Control Dock is equipped with DisplayPort 1.4 and two sets of HDMI 2.0 ports, making it easy for players to quickly switch between PCs and game consoles, making the overall use situation more flexible.
