I tested 50+ iPhone 17 cases to find the best five. Every case was dropped at least 30 times, measuring what the iPhone actually feels on impact during corner drops, face-first drops, and camera-lump drops. No marketing claims, no MIL-STD nonsense, just real data.
There is no such thing as a “perfect” case. Some of these prioritize impact absorption, others prioritize stability, grip, or usability. My rankings in this video are based equally on protection and handling of the iPhone in the case

🔨 How I Test
-Buy the case
-Measure the case (corner/back thickness, rigidity, corner strength, corner pockets)
-Test MagSafe strength (top to bottom, side to side and pulling)
-10 Corners Drops from 3 ft (I only record drops that land in a similar manner, record initial impact, rotation rate, settling rate, total force)
-10 Camera Lump and Face First Drops
-Take the 20 best cases and drop from 4 ft
-Take the 10 best cases and drop from 5 ft
-Final Ranking (all scores normalized and compared against all cases)

I've never seen a Raptic Shield case Review. Been on my 13 Pro Max since apple first release. Cheap, Been through lots of abuse and is appears their MagSafe version seems to have stronger pull than any others.

Wife and I have had the Benks ArmorPro for a couple of weeks now, no problems. Top gap is gone and it is not loose at all. Oh also, she has the blue case which doesn't have the kevlar wrap around the edges, I was wondering if that would change the drop tests? That change along with the top of the case having a better tolerance could constitute a retest?
If it weren’t for that ugly white magsafe symbol, I’d be sold on the FloLab. I have an older Mous case on my 14 Pro, and it’s done it’s job well over the years. It’s magsafe is ok. Not great. But I use an OhSnap grip with an additional adhesive to stick to the case. And I must say it’s magnet is pretty f’n strong. I’m thinking of that Sheath though. Never heard of it, but your review has got me very curious. I prefer as thin as possible and as protective as possible combo. And the all black is aesthetically pleasing to me. Thanks for doing the leg work. Makes my decision that much easier.

I bought the flow lab case on this high reccomendation . Unfortunately this case is super slick and no matter the scoring this should have been the biggest red flag. I now have gone with the Caudabe should receive it tomorrow i hope it will have way better grip.
Can you do a case review for the girlies? Basically all the overly advertised cases that have cute designs (Casely, casetify, pela, burga)
