The trend of Huawei’s flagship series has always attracted great attention from the market. Recently, a new device with model number CHZ-AL00 appeared in the certification database of Chinese regulatory agencies. According to the well-known tipster “Digital Chat Station”, this new phone has been registered in four colors, namely Feitian Blue, Dawn Gold, Snow White and Gold Black. Since these color matching names are highly overlapped with the existing Mate 80 series, the market generally speculates that this mysterious model is most likely to be the long-rumored Mate 80 GTS.
Earlier, it was reported that Huawei intended to launch a product similar to the “Fan Edition”, but it was later reported that it was shelved due to factors such as pricing strategy and hardware implementation. However, with the release of the model CHZ-AL00, more industry insiders tend to believe that this is a GTS model positioned for top performance. Judging from the current market positioning, the development goal of Mate 80 GTS is obviously aimed at the high-performance gaming market, aiming to compete with similar products such as the HONOR GT series.
In terms of technical details, previously leaked design renderings predicted that the Mate 80 GTS may be equipped with innovative active cooling fan technology. Although this type of cooling solution was initially rumored to be applied to the Pro Max or RS Master Edition, it was not ultimately implemented. If Huawei decides to transfer this technology to the GTS model, and use it with a more powerful in-house developed chip, it will be able to provide more stable performance for high-load gaming operations.
The exact registration time of this new phone has not yet been fully disclosed, but the industry generally expects Huawei to officially release this product in March this year.
