OpenCore Legacy Patcher is a free, open-source tool that lets you install and run newer versions of macOS on older Mac hardware that Apple no longer officially supports. Think of it as a way to breathe new life into your aging MacBook, iMac, or Mac Pro.
The computer I’m doing the walkthrough on is a mid-2014 iMac.

Found I had to get rid of old cache as it was using so much space I could not download the installer, once I did it was all good
Found a trick to purge was to start boot assistant and stop it at the second screen ( after it cleared caches)

Sir I m not able to download open core legacy patcher. My i mac model is OS Mojave 10.14.6 . Updating version is showing Mac OS Monterey. What can I do. Downloading option is not showing

Great video! For chapter 5, install OpenCore to disk, which drive do you apply this to, existing main drive or the new drive that will be turned into a bootable disk with the newer Mac OS?

I followed these instructions diligently and erased 3TB of data, settings, and files.
