My most useful feature = SPLIT SCREEN!….. why oh why has Apple removed that….. I know there’s a very messy work around using “windowed” but it was so easy to use ie touch the three dots at top of screen. You could then say open your email in the left screen and open your calendar in the right screen to check the dates given in the email…/ perfect.
I keep hoping they’ll bring it back and thought IOS27 would be my last resort. Unfortunately it looks like I’m going to be disappointed.
Can it also be on 2nd gen ipad pro?

Once again, iPad os holds it back on 3 key things for me: 1. Limited software; as you can only use things from the App Store youre limited. iPad apps are usually slimmed down and lack features, and a huge one as a user of Microsoft office everyday, things like Microsoft office require a monthly subscription instead of a one time purchase. Also, its harder to get hold of more niche software. 2. Files folder still needs work. It is still harder to navigate. 3. Software niches for like copy and pasting images or sharing files etc takes far too many steps to achieve.
I don’t actually want full macOS on iPad. I want iPadOS that simply fixes those issues. I like the more mobile os look and simplicity and feel, I just want these limitations gone. The annoying thing is, is they are so fixable.
Are we able to move individual photos around to custom organize view, not just default views? Sort of how we are able to move/drag, and organize our app icons.
when they allow us to install things outside the App Store, it will be the time when the iPad will be more like a “replacement”

Step 1 after downloading iOS/iPadOS 27: DISABLE SIRI. After 15 years of lies and overhype from Apple and Apple content creators, I'll never use that garbage. I'll continue using 3rd party AI apps.
That shortcut feature sounds awesome! I have to edit large documents, essentially report data, and respond to multiple emails from different people on the same thing. Word and excel have a BIG plus as their “Watch Me” scripting function actually works (Apple has a record function that I’ve yet to get to work)! 👍🏽😎
