TERMINAL AND TOOLS
I use Kitty for terminal sessions and image support inside Neovim. I also recommend Ghostty for speed. Homebrew is the primary package manager for everything shown. Starship provides the prompt.
WINDOW MANAGEMENT
I use Yabai in stack mode. This provides the power of a tiling window manager without the visual clutter of tiny boxes. I prefer focusing on one window at a time while flipping through them like a deck of cards.
NEOVIM
I use the neobean configuration based on LazyVim. If you are a student or a senior developer do not build from scratch on day one. Use a distribution and focus on learning the motions.
HARDWARE
My setup includes a Glove80, and recently a toucan keyboard, both running ZMK and Kanata for system wide remapping. This is the overkill level of the workflow. If you are starting out use Raycast to get the basics down before moving to hardware level control.
COMMUNITY

What's your view on Wezterm vs Kitty ? I love wezterm and I feel like the only thing about kitty that tempts me to try it is the cursor animation. Do you think there's any other benefits of kitty over wezterm ?

I moved to Zed as it's truly fast, has nice default configs, and is basically your nvim setup on steroids, with some plugin implemented by default like: Incrementing now also toggles booleans, sub-word motion, etc
So, MacOS – best linux distro.
