Those benchmark graphs of the max series' seems way off. That M5 Max Multicore is more than double the performance of M1 Max… but not visually twice as long? Unless it's a logarithmic scale?
They will double the price for the m5 studios. Anyone who needs them, will pay with pain.

Was able to buy my M4 Max Studio at Micro Center for $1,699.00 which was a very attractive price (I was looking at a M4 Pro Mini). I'm glad I pulled the trigger because for my work load I could kind of justify a Pro but for the super good deal I went for the Studio. No way I would pay $2,500.00 for the thing back then, so I will hold on to it for years to come and enjoy. I do 2D CAD and that's about it. Those new speeds are impressive, I suspect if you do pro level video work and AI LLM's it will make a gig difference but for the low level user I'm not sure how much more benefit there will be. Crazy times.
I do like your content but the constant editing is giving me a headache, it's almost unwatchable. Please go back to how it used to be with fewer edits and longer takes. Other than that you're 👍

1228GBs bandwidth…what should I do, start my own streaming service? Run a small country? Luckily for me–audio production–I can make the M5Pro (with its paltry 307GBs) work just fine for my purposes. Just having to wait to win the lottery…

Bought my M4 Max Mac Studio in early March, was so glad before all the price increase. That should be good enough for the next 5-10 years. Furthermore, I'm pairing it with 1 Studio Display XDR and 2 Studio Displays.
I wanted badly to upgrade from the M1 Max to the M5 ultra to help with increasingly difficult work tasks, but with these price increases, man I just dont know anymore.

I am waiting on the Studio M5 for surfing, photo editing, and flight simulation. My objective is to buy something that will meet my needs until it is no longer supported. Makes no sense to upgrade every 2-3 years. Not cost-effective. Buy once with more than I need and run it until it is no longer supported. 🙂
