I got the Navy blue ordered the white ocean band. Be careful there flimsy fake bands. Decided to get an Ultra 2 instead of preowned Ultra 1 with white ocean band. $599. Always wanted an Ultra watch . Ultra 2 has double the storage s9 chip.

since I don't have a stylish watch I've bought an ultra one with titanum band purely for the looks, bigger screen and better battery life which costed me 500 dollars on ebay (pristine condition, 100% battery like new)

I wonder what the SOS siren sounds like in water. If you became separated from a dive buddy you might be able to use it as a distress signal? In low visibility on shipwreck dives we usually mark the anchor line with a strobe. I know the watch is marketed to open water divers, but I don't think I'll be using the Ultra beyond what the Oceanic+ app wants it to be used for. I have a Shearwater Perdix that handles multi-cylinder dives and uses air integration to display tank pressure on the computer itself. This is a feature the Ultra doesn't have. As for the premium price, $800 is nothing for people who regularly buy the Pro Max phones. The 15PM is over $1,000. Then again, the phone does more. The watch is just a premium companion.
Everyone insisted for the past month that you wouldn't need a 'case' or screen protector because this thing is 'impossible to scratch and cannot break.' Already people have scratches on the screen and dents in the titanium housing. Some of them on the first day alone.

I believe the reason your wrist activates the action button is because you wear it too low. Apple states you should wear it above the wrist bone in order to get accurate measurements. They’ve probably also tested it a lot so that accidental button clicks don’t happen if you wear it the right way. There should be at least 3cm space between the side of the Watch and your wrist when it’s bend

The weather widget thing is a bug. Update to the latest IOS and if that doesn't work, reset location data on your iPhone. That actually fixed it for me.
Scratches are easy to remove with fine scotchbrite pads and a little patience. I’ve gone round the top of my AWU1 numerous times and looks like new. Hope this helps
There are sellers on ETSY that sell stickers that match the color of the watch that covers the orange accents btw

I bought mine 'just because'. 😂 Coming from both the 41mm GPS + Cellular Graphite Stainless Steel Series 7 (sold) and Series 8 (which I still have), I find that the Ultra 2 (I also have the white ocean band, which I haven't used) isn't bad size-wise for my 6" wrist. And, I agree with you on the lack of color choices and the orange accents.
I pre-purchased protective cases for the watch as I did for my other Apple watches. I also bought the 45mm Anthracite/Black Nike Sport Band and the Black/Gray 49mm Trail Loop. I kind of agree with you on the quirks.
Before the last update, I did notice a little glitch when I was using Siri and it froze. I had to shut it down and restart it.
I bought the ultra two coming from a stainless steel seven mostly for the battery life. I literally sometimes have 20 hour days and the regular Apple Watch just doesn’t make it. Unless I use low power mode. I’m really curious to hear what you think about the double tap feature. I’ve been using the public beta I’ve watchOS 10.1 for the last three weeks and I love the novelty of double tap.

You can set the action button simply to open the workout app as opposed to start a workout if accidental workout starting is an issue for you. Or if you use precision start, it won’t actually start a workout unless you press the action button the second time. If you would like to further customize workouts, the one time app purchase of WorkOutDoors lets you, make a button or combination of buttons do anything you want including ending a workout. You can absolutely make the action button start a workout and use precision start and end the workout. You just can’t customize this function in the native workout app, unfortunately.

I purchased and am using the Watch Ultra 1 when it was released. To be honest, I'm not familiar with extreme sports at all, but I feel like I can do something more active when I wear ultra.
Interesting about this product is that people who already have an Apple Watch will be more satisfied with purchasing an additional Apple Watch Ultra.
I'm very satisfied with it as one of the two, but I wouldn't recommend it as the only option.
