Things you’ll need before you start:
1. Install RetroArch (Download from www.retroarch.com)
2. PS2 Game Disc Image
3. PS2 BIOS File – (Find online by searching for ‘ps2 scph bios’)
4. A Controller (Not absolutely required, but certainly recommended – See the below-recommended controller that I use in this guide).

It’s doesn’t say portable anymore

Thanks for the tutorial, I downloaded the latest version 2.2.0 and it works great but, some games have this blurry double effect when going above native resolution.
I searched online and many people say you can fix it by setting Skipdraw to 1 but I can not find that setting anywhere in Retroarch core settings.
Would you happen to know how to activate this setting to fix this issue in retroarch?

I just get a black or garbled screen with game sound. Controller is working – I can make selections in game but cannot see them.
thank you so much for all the help! had some issues involving having audio but no video, had to acquire the right BIOS files and things worked out, I can now play Ratchet & Clank to my heart's content

When starting RetroArch over Steam, there's simply not option to download a core. And when I try to find the one installed from PCSX2, I can't find it for some reason.

i did everything as you said and still doesnt work :(. all i can see that in core it says that it cant locate pcsx2/bios but i made it and there are bios files in there. strange, it works if i run pcsx2 just fine
