Google is expected to release the new generation Pixel 11 series on August 13, Taiwan time. However, before the new phone is launched, Google will first give a limited-time benefit to users of the old Pixel.
Pixel Care+ opens for expired insurance renewal
Google announced that it is once again open to eligible Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 series users to apply for the Pixel Care+ warranty. Even if they have missed the original 60-day insurance period after purchase, they can still purchase a replacement warranty plan. This limited-time event runs from July 13 to August 2 and is one of the few opportunities for Google to reopen overdue applications.
Does it also apply to Taiwan?
Pixel Care+ is similar to Apple’s AppleCare+, providing extended protection services for Pixel phones, smart watches and other devices. Coverage includes unlimited accidental damage or damage replacements (which vary by country/region), as well as free screen and battery repairs for eligible devices.
However, it is a pity that Pixel Care+ is currently only available in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan, and is not available in Taiwan, so this benefit is not available in Taiwan.
Which Pixel phones can apply?
● Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9a
● Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10a
It should be noted that Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel 10 Pro Fold are not included in this event. In addition, eligible phones must still be functioning normally, must not have a cracked screen or other hardware damage, and must have been linked to the user’s Google account before July 13.
In addition, if the device has already joined the Pixel Care+, Preferred Care or Google Fi device protection plan, it will not be able to participate in this reopening application event.
