Apple (Apple) officially released the second beta version (Beta 2) of iOS 27 to developers on June 22, U.S. time, succeeding the first beta version launched after WWDC 2026 earlier this month. As the summer testing cycle progresses, this update will focus on bug fixes and system optimization, as well as in-depth testing of the much-anticipated new “Siri AI”.

The new iOS 27 is Apple’s most focused operating system on AI in history, and its core highlight is none other than “Siri AI”. The new generation of Siri is driven by new Apple Intelligence and next-generation basic models. It has richer conversational capabilities, understands personal context, and has screen awareness and in-depth cross-application execution capabilities. In terms of the operating interface, in addition to being deeply integrated with “Dynamic Island”, Siri AI has also launched an independent Siri application, allowing users to review conversation records across devices. In addition, the camera function also integrates “visual intelligence” to further enhance the iPhone’s camera control.
In addition to AI upgrades, iOS 27 also fine-tunes the Liquid Glass design launched last year, adds a transparency adjustment slider, and improves application startup speed, camera startup in low-power mode, and AirDrop transfer performance.
It should be noted that although iOS 27 supports iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2 and above, the top-notch Siri AI functions still require hardware compatible with Apple Intelligence. According to foreign media reports, some of the most core device-side AI models are even limited to the latest hardware specifications such as iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air. Apple is expected to launch the first public beta in July and officially launch it to global users this fall.
