Weibo tipster FixedFocus revealed that HUAWEI Mate XT 2 will bring significant hardware and design changes in September, and the product price will not be increased. Looking back at the manufacturer’s past pricing strategy, the standard version of the first-generation 3-fold mobile phone was priced at RMB 20,000; the price of the subsequently launched Mate XTs was slightly lower, with the 16GB+256GB version priced at RMB 17,999, and the 512GB and 1TB versions priced at RMB 19,999 and RMB 21,999 respectively. Based on current pricing data, the price range of the new Mate XT 2 is expected to fall between 15,000 and 20,000 yuan. The final pricing plan still needs to be further announced by the official market strategy.
In terms of body design, HUAWEI Mate XT 2 will have obvious appearance changes. Sources indicate that the manufacturer plans to abandon the existing “G-shaped” folding form and instead refer to a folding solution similar to SAMSUNG’s and adopt a new “U-shaped” design, allowing the two sides of the screen to be folded closer to the center.
