ASUS officially released the new flagship business laptop ExpertBook Ultra in Hong Kong. Faced with the dual demands of today’s business users for high mobility and powerful AI computing capabilities, this new machine combines an extremely lightweight body of only 0.99kg with a processor performance of up to 50W.
In terms of body design, ASUS ExpertBook Ultra is made of aerospace-grade AZ31B magnesium aluminum alloy through CNC processing. It controls the weight to 0.99 kg and is only 10.9mm thick. It is currently the smallest 14-inch laptop in the world. In order to cope with the wear and tear of daily business use, the machine surface is specially treated with ASUS nano-ceramic technology (Ceraluminum) with 9H hardness. The scratch and wear resistance is five times higher than the industry standard. In such a thin and light body, the manufacturer has still successfully placed a 70Wh large-capacity battery, providing up to 26 hours of battery life.
Performance is the core selling point of this flagship model. ExpertBook Ultra can be equipped with up to Intel Core Ultra X9 Series 3 processors, and with ASUS ExpertCool Pro cooling technology, it can maintain a continuous output of 50W CPU TDP without reducing the frequency. In terms of image processing, the built-in Intel Arc B390 image chip has outstanding performance. Compared with the 30W TGP independent graphics card NVIDIA RTX 4050, its image performance is 35% higher. In addition, the new machine is equipped with 9600 MT/s memory and ultra-fast PCIe Gen5x4 SSD, with a read speed of up to 14,090 MB/s, which is 5 times faster than the previous generation. Even while providing high performance, the system’s operating noise in silent mode can still be maintained at a level below 20dB.
The screen and audio-visual experience also reach top standards. It is equipped with a 14-inch 3K (2880×1800) resolution touch-sensitive tandem OLED (Tandem OLED) display. This panel technology not only greatly extends the service life, but also reduces power consumption by 40%, and supports a variable refresh rate of 30-120Hz and an HDR peak brightness of up to 1400 nits. The screen surface is also covered with anti-glare Gorilla Glass Matte glass to reduce ambient light reflection. Together with the built-in 6-unit Dolby Atmos spatial audio system, it brings an excellent multimedia audio-visual experience.
For the actual operational needs of business users, ExpertBook Ultra is equipped with a water-resistant keyboard with 1.5 mm key travel and a Haptic Touchpad trackpad that supports precise tactile feedback, providing a comfortable and accurate input experience. The connection interface is very complete. There are two USB Type-C and two USB Type-A interfaces on both sides of the fuselage. It also has standard HDMI 2.1 display output and composite audio jack. Users do not need to carry extra adapter cables when going out. In terms of security and AI applications, this laptop integrates the subscription-free MyExpert AI suite. The hardware protection has passed the strict NIST SP 800-193 security standard and supports dual biometric authentication of fingerprint and infrared face recognition.
